A partir do texto original do Kamasutra de Vatsyayana, alvo de múltiplas desapropriações desde a sua entrada em contexto ocidental, despertando a curiosidade, por um lado, mas pouca reflexão e seriedade, por outro, partiu-se para aquela que se considera ser uma tradução visual fiel aos sentimentos e emoções presentes na leitura atenta de uma das mais aclamadas e reconhecidas obras sobre amor e erotismo. O entendimento de que o Kamasutra se refere exclusivamente a posições sexuais está profundamente errado, e corroborar esse preconceito é o principal objectivo deste artefacto que resulta num híbrido que contrapõe a obra literária original e a sua posterior tradução visual através da ilustração.
From the original text of Kamasutra of Vatsyayana, the subject of multiple expropriations since its entry into the Western context, arousing curiosity, on the one hand, but little reflection and seriousness, on the other, departed to what is considered to be a visual translation faithful to the feelings and emotions present in the attentive reading of one of the most acclaimed and recognized works on love and eroticism. The understanding that Kamasutra refers exclusively to sexual positions is deeply wrong, and corroborating this prejudice is the main purpose of this artifact resulting in a hybrid that contrasts the original literary work and its subsequent visual translation through illustration.
